UGC NET 2022-23: The application process for the UGC NET Eligibility Test to be conducted by the National Testing Agency is starting today. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for this exam on 17 January 2023 till 5 pm. Along with this, the commission has also announced the dates of this examination. Giving information from his Twitter handle, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said, "National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting UGC-NET in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 'Junior Research Fellowship' and 'Assistant Professor' in 83 subjects." December 2022 will conduct the eligibility test". Interested and eligible candidates can apply from 29 December 2022 to 17 January 2023 till 5 PM.
It is noteworthy that UGC conducts the NET exam twice a year, the first exam is held in June and the second in December. This examination is an examination conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for 'Assistant Professor' and 'Junior Research Fellowship' in Indian universities and colleges.
Candidates are awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Assistant Professor based on their overall performance in Papers 1 and 2 of UGC-NET. Those who qualify only for Assistant Professorship are not given JRF.
