Kartik month has great importance in our Hindu religion. In this month, many festivals come from Diwali to Chhath Puja, which people celebrate with pomp. In this sequence, every year there is a tradition of getting Tulsi and Shaligram ji married on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month.

Talking about the belief behind this tradition, it is said that by solemnizing Tulsi marriage one gets the same results as Kanyadaan and opens the doors of salvation. Besides, with the grace of Tulsi ji and Shaligram, obstacles in marriage are also removed. Due to this, the marriage of Tulsi and Shaligram ji is done on the day of Ekadashi.

Ekadashi falls on this day, hence people offer only fruits as Prasad. Due to this, in today's article we are going to tell you about the recipe for making Malai Peda, which you can prepare on the day of Tulsi Vivah.

Ingredients for making Malai Peda
1/2 kg khoya
60 grams ghee
1/2 kg sugar
Cardamom powder as per taste

Method
People eat only fruits for Ekadashi. In such a situation, to make Malai Peda, first either prepare khoya at home or bring khoya from the market.
If you are thinking of preparing khoya at home, then first boil milk in a pan. Boil it until it becomes thick. After making khoya, keep it aside. When it becomes thick, take ghee in a pan and heat it.
After this, add khoya to this ghee and stir it. After this let it turn golden. After cooking it for some time, add cardamom powder to it.
Now turn off the gas and take it down. Mix sugar in hot khoya only. After this, make pedals of your favorite size from this khoya. Now offer it to Tulsi Mata.
