Different customs are prevalent in our country for the eunuch society. Eunuchs are a separate community from the common people for which there are different practices. We all want to know deeply about them, but there are some secrets of their society which are a bit difficult to find out.
Not only this, but their practices are also different from ours. Their presence is considered essential in any auspicious work and their blessings bring auspiciousness to the work. According to some beliefs, they have received special blessings from God.
A unique practice of their society is cremation on the death of someone. Where cremation is usually done during the daytime, whereas in Kinnar Samaj, cremation is done at night when someone dies. We spoke to astrologer Radha Kant Vats to get complete information about this practice. Let us know about the reasons for this practice.
Why is the eunuch's funeral procession taken out at night?
According to astrology, the funeral procession of eunuchs is taken out at night so that common people cannot see this journey. Not only this, no person from any other community can participate in his funeral.
There is also a belief that if someone sees his funeral procession, then it is not considered auspicious for him. It is also believed that if someone sees the funeral procession of eunuchs, they do not get freedom from this life and they have to be born again in the same community.
Dead bodies of eunuchs are beaten with shoes
It is a belief that after the death of eunuchs, before their cremation, the dead body is beaten with shoes, so that they do not get born in this category and they can get freedom from this life. JyotishacharyaRadha Kant Vats ji explains that the reason for beating Eunuch’s dead body with shoes is that he should not get such a life again and if he has any sins then he should be freed from them.
Cremation is done at midnight
After the death of eunuchs, their cremation also takes place at midnight and no outside community or person can see their cremation. Before burning their dead bodies, Aravan, the god of eunuchs, is invoked and prayers are offered to him for salvation. It is believed that whoever brings home the ashes of his funeral pyre never faces a shortage of wealth.
Eunuchs get the feeling of death
The people of the Kinnar community start realizing death a month before their death and they lock themselves in a room and pray to God to get rid of this life. They pray to their favourites that they get salvation after death. The god of eunuchs is Aravan and eunuchs pray to him only to get freedom from this kind of life.
Why eunuchs are considered auspicious
If we talk about Hindu practice, then it is considered auspicious to take the blessings of eunuchs on any auspicious occasion. It is believed that they had received a blessing from Lord Shri Ram during the Ramayana period. For this reason, the presence of eunuchs is considered auspicious after marriage or on the arrival of a small guest in the house.
For these reasons, it is believed that no one should see the dead bodies of eunuchs and common people are prohibited from participating in their cremation.
