Now you will be able to identify unwanted calls coming on your phone. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI has sent a recommendation to the Department of Telecommunications. It is recommended to display the name of the caller on the mobile phone (Calling Name Presentation or CNAP). On this basis, the recipient of the call will be able to decide whether he wants to talk or not. On the other hand, the business of apps like True Caller will also end due to this.
TRAI issued a consultation paper last year to deal with spam calls. In the recommendation, TRAI has said that only the name that the caller has given to the company by writing in his form will be visible on the calls. If a company takes connections in bulk, then when calling, the recipient of the call will see only the name of the company.
Receive three unwanted calls every day
According to the survey, 60 percent of phone holders in the country receive at least three unwanted calls every day.
