A buffalo named Anmol has caught the attention of the country with its impressive price of Rs 23 crore. Weighing 1500 kg, Anmol has become a popular one at major agricultural events including the famous Pushkar fair. The Times of India has also hailed Anmol as "an icon" in the animal husbandry industry.
Anmol's owner Gill is dedicated to maintaining the exceptional care and appearance of his buffalo. This unique buffalo follows a strict routine that includes drinking almond milk to daily bathing and mustard oil massage, which keeps his coat shiny and healthy.
Despite the high maintenance costs, Gill leaves no stone unturned in taking care of Anmol, although he had to sell Anmol's mother and sister to manage the expenses.
Anmol's mother was famous for giving 25 liters of milk every day. The buffalo's daily diet is another factor that sets him apart. Anmol's food costs around Rs 1,500 per day and includes 250 grams of almonds, 4 kg of pomegranates, 30 bananas, 5 kg of milk and 20 eggs along with supplements like oil cake, green fodder, ghee, soybean and maize.
According to reports, this rich diet supports his size and health. Anmol is also in demand for cattle breeding. The biweekly collection of his semen, which is priced at Rs 250 per semen, is in great demand and can help breed hundreds of cattle.
This demand brings in a monthly income of Rs 4-5 lakh, helping Gill meet Anmol's high maintenance costs. For Gill, Anmol is more than a prized animal—he is family and he has no plans to part with him.
