Benefits of yoga
Yoga is one type of exercise to keep in shape and is suitable for everyone. Although, these are very easy to do it is powerful. Sukhasana, Vajrasana, Baddhakonasana and other asanas can reduce other problems related to hormonal or reproductive health. Today our expert Akshar Yoga Sansthan, Himalaya Yoga Ashram, founder of World Yoga Organization, Yoga and spiritual leader Himalayan Siddha Akshar ji is telling about some yogasanas that can keep women's reproductive health healthy.
1. Mandukasana
- To do this, sit in Vajrasana.
- Extend the arms in front.
- Fold the thumbs into the palms, wrap the other four fingers over them and round the fists.
- Bend the arms at the elbows, and place the fists above the navel.
- Bend the upper body and place it on top of the lower body.
- Stretch the neck and focus the eyes forward.
2. PrasaritaPadottanasana
- Extend the legs keeping them parallel with the toes facing inwards.
- The knees should remain straight.
- Bring the palms under the shoulders.
- Lower your head down trying to touch the ground.
- Keep the back as straight as possible.
- Repeat for up to 3 sets for 30 seconds.
3. BaddhaKonasana
- Start it with Dandasana.
- Join the soles while folding the legs.
- Raise the heels towards the pelvis.
- Lower the knees comfortably.
- Exhale and maintain this position for 15 to 20 seconds.
- Repeat this 3 or more times.
4. Kaliyasana
- Spread the legs slightly, with the toes pointing outwards.
- Keep the back straight.
- Then squat.
- While raising the arms, make sure that they are parallel to the shoulders.
- Elbows should be bent and palms should be towards the sky.
5. Balasana
- Kneel on the mat and sit on the heels with the knees spread a comfortable distance apart.
- Inhale and raise your hands above your head.
- Exhale and bend the upper body forward keeping the palms on the floor.
- Keep the pelvis relaxed on the heels.
- Make sure the back is straight.
- Place a blanket under the knees or hips if needed.
6. Pranayama and meditation
Pranayama techniques like Kapalbhati (done in AntarKumbhak and Bahir Kumbhak), AnulomVilom, Bhastrika etc. boost immunity and cleanse the nadis in the body. It relieves stress and benefits the parasympathetic nervous system by reducing stress hormones. Stress is one of the main triggers for poor health such as reproductive health and hormonal problems and practicing yoga helps women achieve overall health.
