Let us know if this feature is live on the app after its latest update. Today we will tell you what it is and how to use it.
What is YouTube Music creating a radio feature?
Most music streaming apps today come with a 'radio' feature. It will have one radio channel instead of one playlist. In a playlist, the user curates a set of songs based on their preferences. And a radio channel is where the algorithm works.
Suggests more songs to the user based on the artist, album, or song they last played. It lets users find similar songs and discover new artists and albums. Be aware that these radio channels can also be saved as playlists.
Algorithm-Control Radio Feature
Previously, YouTube Music also had an algorithmically-controlled radio feature where new songs were suggested in the 'Up Next' section and users could select and jump to the radio. But now with the 'Create a Radio' feature, users will be able to create a personalized radio channel from scratch. Users now have maximum control as they can choose artists, types of song selections, and new songs to customize their favorite radio channel. The channel lets users choose between different categories to find songs that suit their moods.
