In childhood, when you and I used to demand to drink tea, our parents used to scare us by saying that if we drink tea, we will turn black. Due to this fear, many children start avoiding tea. Though there is nothing wrong with having dark skin, the dark complexion is a taboo in India that many people want to avoid. Let us know whether there is any relation between tea and skin color.
Does drinking tea make the face dark?
Tea is the second most consumed beverage in India after water, people crave tea right from waking up in the morning to even in their leisure time in the evening. Most people are aware of the fact that drinking tea has many disadvantages, including upset stomach, sleeplessness, and diabetes, but does it make the skin dark by drinking it?
In childhood, it is said that children should not drink tea, because it contains caffeine, which can prove to be harmful for small children, but the same children believe it to be true even after growing up. It is a good thing not to have the habit of drinking tea, but it is not right to unnecessarily carry the rumor for life.
Till now no scientific proof has been found that the color of the skin becomes black with tea. According to skin care experts, the color of the skin depends on your genetics, lifestyle, outdoor activities, and the presence of melanin in the skin. You shouldn't spread such rumors, then they will continue to grow from generation to generation because move forward with scientific thinking.
