What is high blood pressure?

Let us tell you that normal blood pressure is considered to be 120/80. If the BP level increases more than this then it is called high blood pressure. But in today's times 130/80 is also considered normal BP. According to WHO, if blood pressure is increased to 140/90 or more then it is considered as high blood pressure.

These symptoms are seen when there is a high BP

  • Severe headache is also a sign of high blood pressure, but nowadays people ignore it considering it to be stress and fatigue. If you have a persistent severe headache, you should immediately contact a doctor.
  • If you feel thirsty again and again. Even if your mouth feels dry after drinking water, you should not ignore it. This may be a sign of high blood pressure. Actually, in high BP, there is excessive sweating. Due to this, dehydration occurs and you feel thirsty again and again.

  • Feeling tired and vomiting are also signs of increased blood pressure. In such a situation, you should check your BP immediately. If your BP is high and you have already been prescribed medicine, then you can take the medicine.
  • Due to high blood pressure, many times a person cannot see anything properly. If everything appears blurry then you should be alert and consult a doctor.
