The Central Government has launched the “Swayam Plus” platform for skill development and online courses as per the demand of the industry. This platform will not only develop the skills of the students but will also help in finding jobs. Let us tell you that recently, this platform was launched by Union Education, Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the country's capital Delhi.

Partnership with many big companies

Many giants including L&T Education Tech, Tata Consultancy Services Limited, The Job Plus and People Network, Wadhwani Foundation (Skill Development Network), Minority Online Limited, and Smart Bridge Educational Services Private Limited have partnered for this platform. Anadi Foundation, 360 Digi TMG, and BalaniInfotechPvt Ltd will launch industrial courses on this platform. This platform will also bring programs in many other areas like Manufacturing, Energy, Computer Science and Engineering, Management Studies, Healthcare, Hospitality and Tourism besides Indian Knowledge System. It is possible that in the future, industry courses like Semiconductor, Artificial Intelligence will be included.

Benefits of Swayam Plus Platform

The platform will expand the reach of the classroom by connecting 43 million students and working professionals in higher education. Apart from experienced people from the industry, subject experts from universities and institutes will also help the students associated with this platform. Content will be available on this platform in 12 major Indian languages. Swayam Plus will help in accessing mentorship, scholarships and job placement. Internship opportunities will also be provided through this portal.

Active since 2017

Let us tell you that Swayam is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform. It was launched by the Ministry of Education in the year 2017. Its expanded form is Sway Plus. In line with the National Education Policy 2020, the Swayam Plus platform will now include courses that meet the needs of the industry. The platform is developed in collaboration with L&T, Microsoft, Cisco and other industry giants. Let us tell you that IIT Madras is operating the Swayam Plus platform.
