The problem of constipation troubles small children a lot. In such a situation, black raisins are helpful, because it is rich in fibre which helps children in passing stool. Also, being a wonderful prebiotic, black raisins increase the good bacteria in the gut.

Apart from this, its alkaline nature reduces the acid, due to which children do not have acidity problems.

Good growth of children

Being rich in potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus, black raisins help in the good growth of children. Due to this, children develop well physically and mentally.

Blood loss goes away

There is a lack of blood in the body of many children. In such a situation, feeding black raisins daily to children can be beneficial. It is rich in iron and vitamin B, hence it treats anaemia.

Weight increases

If your child is underweight, then feed him black raisins. It contains a high amount of calories, glucose and fructose, hence it helps in increasing weight.

How to feed black raisins to children?

  • Give 6-8 month-old babies soaked overnight and well-mashed raisins to eat.
  • Feed soaked and finely chopped raisins overnight to children above 8 months.

Raisin water for constipation

For children 6-12 months-

  • Soak the raisins overnight.
  • Next morning grind it finely.
  • Filter its water and drink it.

For children above 1 year-

  • Soak the raisins overnight.
  • Next morning, give this soaked raisin water to the children to drink.

What should be the quantity of black raisins?

  • Less than 1 year: 3-4 black raisins
  • Above 1 year: 5-6 black raisins
