According to your skin type, you must also follow a beauty routine for yourself. Surely it is good to go to the parlour and get facials done. The effect of weather also comes on our skin and in the summertime many problems like tanning, skin rashes, blackness due to sweating, and accumulation of dust start to occur. The change of weather affects the skin so much because we change clothes according to the weather, but are unable to change our skincare routine.

In such a situation, many times the beauty treatments done from outside prove to be very effective. But cosmetic beauty treatments are also very expensive and contain chemicals. In such a situation, what if an expensive facial like a parlour is done at home?

Social media influencer and dermatologist Dr Manoj Das has shared information related to this on YouTube. She has explained how you do parlour-like facials at home.

For cleansing and scrubbing

Cleansing and scrubbing are the first things to do while getting facials done in a parlour. We also have to do this step beforehand. After washing your face, you have to use a DIY scrub.

For dry skin-

  • 1 tsp Masoor dal powder
  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel (if the paste consistency has not come, you can add a little more)

For oily skin-

  • 1/2 tsp lentil powder
  • 1 tsp rice flour
  • Aloe vera gel as required

Scrub the skin with light hands by making a paste. Do not apply it on the skin with a lot of force; otherwise, there may be a risk of skin peeling.

There are many enzymes inside lentils, due to which the dead cells of the skin are removed very easily. In this case, skin rejuvenation happens easily. Similarly, aloe vera gel is very good for cooling the skin. These scrubs reduce the damage caused by blackheads and pollution on your skin.

For massage

Massage is the second and most important step of a facial. This should also be done separately for dry skin and oily skin people.

For dry skin

You have to use curd for the massage. You always have to use thick curd in which you will get both lactic acid and vitamin E. With this, it will be very good to control dryness and dead skin of skin.

A pinch of turmeric can be added inside the curd, but turmeric does not suit most people's skin, so you have to see whether it suits you or not. Massage can be done only with curd. If you want, you can add Vitamin-E capsules separately to it. Hung curd can also be used for face massage.

For oily skin

Massage your face with 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel, a pinch of turmeric (optional) and 1 teaspoon of hibiscus powder.

Massage your face with this for a few minutes and then wash it with lukewarm water. Do not massage with curd for a long time, just 10 minutes will be enough.

After massage

Moisturize after washing your skin and apply sunscreen. No skincare routine is complete without sunscreen. You should apply broad spectrum and above SPF 50 sunscreen. Broad spectrum protects against UV and UVB rays.

Not every skincare routine suits everyone. In such a situation, before applying anything on the face, do a patch test once. According to the skin condition, you can also make DIY facials after consulting a doctor. Do not use anything like this without patch testing.
