Lemon can be used in a variety of ways as a cosmetic ingredient. Keep in mind that does not use lemon juice without mixing other things, as it can harm the skin. Today in this article Shahnaz Hussain will tell you how you can use lemon on hair and skin.

Black elbow

If your elbows are black then you can use lemon. For this, you have to rub half a lemon on the elbow and then wash it with water. Over time, it will cleanse and lighten the skin.

Use as lotion

You can also use lemon as a hand lotion. Mix rose water with lemon and apply it on your hands. If you have rough hands, add lemon juice to granulated sugar and rub it until the sugar dissolves. Now wash with water. Doing this daily will improve the texture of your skin.

For oily skin

Lemon can be used for oily skin. For this, mix half a teaspoon of lemon juice in a glass of water and apply it to your face. If it is harsh on your skin, then mix more water in it. Instead of wiping your face, blot with a tissue. Using lemon not only maintains the acid-alkaline balance but also helps in absorbing oil. Using lemon during summer would be more beneficial, as the skin becomes oilier during this time.

Use on hands

You can apply honey mixed with lemon juice on the face. Honey moisturizes the skin. Lemon juice restores the normal balance and can lighten the skin tone over some time with regular use. For oily skin, mix one part honey with two parts lemon juice. For normal and dry skin, use honey and lemon juice mixed in equal amounts.

For hair

Lemon can also be used to wash hair. You can add lemon juice to a mug of water and use it as a hair rinse after shampooing. You can also add it to "tea water". Boil the used tea leaves in enough water and let them cool. Add the juice of one lemon and rinse the hair. It helps in bringing shine to the hair.

Note: Some people have sensitive skin. Therefore, if applying lemon juice on your skin causes irritation or itching, then you should not use it. You should not use lemon juice without diluting it. Also, keep in mind the quantity of lemon juice. Using more than half a teaspoon of lemon juice can harm the skin.
