Saree is a traditional garment of Indian women. However, now there have been many changes in both the look and the texture of the saree. Now the saree is no longer just a traditional outfit but has become a style statement for women.

There are many patterns of sarees to be seen in the market. But even today some women hesitate to wear saree. Especially plus-size women have this idea that they will look fat in a saree.

Let us tell you that if you have chosen saree draping and saree print according to your body type, then it will never happen that you look fat in saree, but if you are thin and still use the wrong print and saree draping style. If you choose, you will not look slim in a saree.

Celebrity saree draping expert Kalpana Shah has also shared a post on her Instagram account, in which she is telling how plus-size women should do saree draping.

Step 1

The look of a sari is good only when it has been made well and more number of plates. Usually, the saree is 5 or 5.30 yards. In such a situation, plus-size women need more length sarees. You may not find a saree of more length than this in the market, but you can increase the length of your saree by attaching a matching cloth.

Step-2

After this, basic tuck the saree into the petticoat. For this, keep the height of the saree to the floor-length. When your saree is properly tucked in one round, prepare to become lower plates.

Step-3

By the way, while choosing a sari, you have to keep 2 more things in mind. The first is that you do not have to carry a double shade saree, nor do you have to choose a saree with a horizontal print. Instead, you can wear a sari with a vertical line or a print.

Step-4

Now make lower plates gently. Try to keep the plates straight and one on top of the other. After this, when the plates are made and you want to tuck them in, then tuck the plates in the line of the navel. Tuck the plates snugly while tucking them into the petticoat . Do not enter by simply gathering all the plates at once.

Step-5

Now it's time to set the pallu. If you are making shoulder plates and your shoulders are broad, then keep the plates wide. Thin plates do not cover the body fat and you do not even get a slim look.
