Ingredients

  • 1 cup soaked basmati rice
  • one spoon of desi ghee
  • 10-12 raisins
  • 7-8 cashews
  • sugar to taste
  • Half teaspoon cardamom powder
  • saffron strands

Method :

  • First of all, dissolve one spoon of saffron in hot water and keep it aside.
  • Now heat ghee in a cooker or pan and roast raisins and cashews in it.
  • After roasting the dry fruits, keep them aside and roast the rice in the same ghee.
  • After roasting the rice, add water to it and add saffron water as well.
  • Now add sugar as per taste and let the rice cook well.
  • When the rice is cooked well, add cardamom powder to it.
  • Finally garnish it with raisins, cashews, and saffron and serve hot.
