Sweet and sour tamarind chutney can be used in many things. Be it curd vada or any chaat, tamarind chutney enhances the taste of the dish. Many people also like to eat this chutney with stuffed paratha. Some people find it difficult to make this chutney at home. Sometimes it becomes very sour which does not taste good. In such a situation, learn how to make restaurant-style tamarind chutney.

Ingredients for making tamarind chutney

- Tamarind

- Jaggery

- Black Salt

- Red Chilli

- Roasted Cumin Powder

- Dry Mango Powder

- Fennel

- Melon Seeds

- Beetroot Juice

- White Salt

- Water

How to make Tamarind Chutney

To make restaurant-style tamarind chutney, first, soak the tamarind until it becomes soft. Then crush the soaked tamarind pulp and filter it. Place this extracted pulp in the pan and cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes. Add some water if required. Now add jaggery to it and cook well for some time. Then add one spoon of beetroot juice and all the spices and mix well. Cook for at least 10 minutes. When it thickens, add melon seeds and turn off the flame. Your tamarind chutney is ready.
