During the 9 days of Navratri, many people worship and fast in honor of Goddess Durga. Generally, individuals consume only fruit-based food during these days. To add a unique taste to your fasting menu you can make fruit pulao. Let's learn the recipe of Falahari Pulao.
Material:
1 cup sama rice
1/4 cup peanuts
2 potatoes
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp ghee
4 green chillies
fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
2 cups water
rock salt as per taste
Recipe:
First of all, boil potatoes and soak sama rice in water. Once soaked, drain the rice.
Cut boiled potatoes into small pieces and fry them with green chilies in the pan.
Heat ghee in a separate pan and add peanuts to it. Fry them until they become light golden.
Now add cumin seeds and fry till it crackles.
Add roasted potatoes and green chilies to this mixture.
After this, add filtered Sama rice to it and mix well.
Add 2 cups water and add rock salt as per taste.
Cover the pan and let it cook until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. This should take about 10-12 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
