To make long and smooth journeys for any traveller, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a new mobile app, Highway Yatra App, which provides various facilities.

What is Highway Yatra App?

HighwayYatra App is an upgraded version app which can be used to get any kind of help on National Highways. This app helps users find the addresses of toll plazas, petrol pumps, hospitals, police stations and other important services. Apart from this, the app also helps users to seek assistance in emergencies.

To use the Highway Yatra app, follow these simple steps:

  • Download the app from Google Play Store or iOS App Store on your smartphone.
  • Sign up in the app using your mobile number and email ID.
  • Enable your location so that the app can help you find an address to avail service nearby.

Using the HighwayYatra app you can get the following services:

  • You can find the addresses of toll plazas, petrol pumps, hospitals, police stations and other essential services.
  • You can take help from customer care for help in emergencies.
  • You can get help from number 1033 for Highway Assistant and 112 for Police Assistant.
  • You can get road information as well as traffic information.
  • While travelling, you can get information about the weather of the place where you are going.

To get help in an emergency using the Highway Yatra app, follow these steps:

  • First, click on the “Emergency Help” tab in the app.
  • Now select the option according to your situation and the type of help you need.
  • Ultimately you may have to share your live location for this.

The Highway Yatra app can not only be used to get highway information and lodge complaints but the Highway Yatra app can also be used for cashless journeys through FASTag service. For this, users can recharge their FASTags through the app, as well as avail the benefit of a monthly pass. Apart from UPI, you can also make payments through debit card and credit to avail of related banking services inside this app.

The app will notify the concerned authorities to provide assistance based on the user's situation and the type of help required. HighwayYatra App can be a useful medium, which can help passengers maintain a safe and convenient journey while travelling on National Highways.
