Every day crores of passengers travel by train in India. More than 13 thousand passenger trains are run by Indian Railways for these passengers. Most of the passengers make reservations on the train before traveling by train. This gives them a lot of convenience in the journey. There are sleepers and AC coaches on the train for reservation. But many passengers do not have money to get a reservation on the train.

So for such people, general coaches are installed on the train. In which less money is charged for the reservation. But many people do not take tickets even after traveling in the general coach. According to the rules, it is necessary to take a ticket to travel on the train, if someone travels without a ticket in the general coach. So according to the railway rules, a fine has to be paid if caught.

This fine has to be paid
According to the rules of Indian Railways, if a passenger travels without a ticket in the general coach. Then in such a case, if caught, the TTE charges a minimum fine of Rs 250. Along with this, the fare is also charged from the station where the passenger is caught to the station where the train started.

Along with this, if the passenger has to go to a further station, then he has to pay the fare till that further station. Let us tell you that every year the railways collect crores of rupees as fines from passengers traveling without a ticket. Therefore, it is better to take a ticket when traveling in the general coach.

Do not travel on waiting tickets
Many times people make reservations on trains. Then their tickets get put on waiting. In such a situation, if people take tickets from the counter. Then they travel on that waiting ticket only. Because the waiting ticket taken from the counter does not get canceled automatically. But despite this, if you travel on a waiting ticket. In such a situation, the TTE has the right to make you get off the running train at the next station. Along with this, he can also impose a fine on you.
