If you also have an account under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and it is closed i.e. inactive. If you want to restart it, then this news is for you. Today we will tell you a very easy way to reactivate Jan Dhan's account. The government informed on Tuesday that about 20 percent of the accounts of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana are inactive. No transaction has been made from these accounts.

Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat K Karad said in reply to a written question in the Rajya Sabha that till December 6, a total of 10.43 crore accounts of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana are inactive. Of these, 4.93 crore accounts belong to women. He said that according to the data received from banks, about 20 percent of the 51.11 crore accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana were inactive till December 6.

About Rs 12,779 crore is still deposited in closed Jan Dhan accounts. This money is about 6.12 percent of the total deposits in these accounts. The Minister of State for Finance said that interest continues to be received even on closed accounts. It has been told from their side that banks are trying their best to reduce the number of such accounts. The government is continuously monitoring these.

If Jan Dhan's account has been closed, then before opening it, find out why your account has been closed. Jan Dhan's account was started in the year 2014. If your Jan Dhan account is closed, you can easily get it opened. However, for this, you need to know some things.

First of all your Jan Dhan account should be linked to Aadhaar. If so, you will not have any problems again. If the Jan Dhan account is linked to Aadhaar and is inactive due to no transactions for a long time, then there is no need to worry.

Your account will be reactivated after some time of providing Aadhaar card information to the bank and doing KYC.
