Not only this, but during fights people even threaten to kill each other. If such an incident happens to you and during a fight, the other person abuses you with dirty and indecent words. If a person abuses or threatens to kill another person, then an FIR can be lodged in the police station under Section 154 of CrPC.
According to Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code, abusing someone is a punishable offense. If a complaint is lodged with the police on doing so, legal action will be taken against it. In such cases, the person is not jailed but made to pay a fine.
Whereas if someone threatens to kill you during a fight. In such a situation, you should immediately complain to that person at the police station.
Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code clearly states that threatening to kill someone is a serious crime. If you do this, the person can be sentenced to seven years in prison. In such cases, a report is prepared and sent directly to the magistrate. The thing to note is that in such cases, bail is available. However, the trial continues.
