What is Vishwakarma Yojana?
Under the Vishwakarma Yojana, artisans having traditional skills like goldsmiths, blacksmiths, barbers, and cobblers get many benefits. The government has included 18 traditional skill occupations in this scheme. This scheme will help artisans and craftsmen from rural and urban areas present in India.

Who gets the benefit of this scheme?

-Those who are boatmakers, blacksmiths
-Those who are stone breakers
-Those who are lock makers
-Manufacturers and basket/mat/broom makers
-Cobblers/shoemakers and tailors
-If you are a doll and toy maker
-Malakar and washerman
-Stone carvers, fishing net
-Those who are weapon makers or sculptors

If you are a mason
-Those who are hammer and toolkit makers
-Barbers
-Those who do goldsmith work etc.

How to apply
If you are eligible and your age is 18 years or more, then you can apply by visiting the nearest Jan Seva Kendra
Go there and get your documents verified and your eligibility will also be checked
After everything is found correct in the verification, your application is done.

What are the benefits?
After joining the scheme, people are given advanced training, for which a daily stipend of Rs 500 is given
15 thousand rupees are given to buy the toolkit
There is a provision to give a loan of one lakh rupees first and then an additional two lakh rupees and that too without guarantee and at a cheap interest rate.
Beneficiaries will get facilities like incentives.
