Whether it is a short-distance journey or a long journey, people like to travel according to their comfort. For example, it is seen that a large number of people travel by Indian train every day. You just have to book a train ticket and then you can reach your destination comfortably. On the train, you get the facility of food, AC, comfortable seat, and a toilet. But in between all this, if you ever have a fight on the train during the journey or someone misbehaves with you, then you can get proper help by complaining about it. So let's know where and how you can complain. You can know about this in the next slides...

Railway has a rule

One of the rules of Indian Railways is that if you are traveling by train and someone is misbehaving with you or you fight with someone, then you can complain about that person to the railway. Then appropriate action is taken in this matter.

To whom can you complain?

If you have a fight or someone is misbehaving with you while traveling on a train, then you can inform the Government Railway Police (GRP) about this. You have to tell them the whole matter after which appropriate action is taken. GRP has the authority to ensure security in the railway area.

If you have a problem, you have to take your complaint to the GRP officer after which action is taken by them. If needed, GRP can also arrest someone in the railway area. However, if the matter is serious then the case is handed over to the local police by GRP.

If you have any other problem on the train, like food, no water, dirty toilets, AC not working, coach attendant misbehaving, etc. In such a situation, you can register your complaint on number 139. From here the railway takes immediate action
