Material
Paneer - 400 grams
Mustard oil - 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Curd - 1/2 cup
Kashmiri red chili powder - 2 tbsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
salt to taste
Green chili - 2-3
Kasoori Methi - 1 tbsp
Soaked Rice - 1 cup
water - as needed
Bay leaf - 2-3
Black cardamom - 3
Cinnamon - 2
Black pepper - 5-6
Cloves - 5-6
Oil - 2 tbsp
Shahi jeera - 1 tbsp
Mace - 1 tbsp
Onion - 1/2 cup
Kewra - 1 tbsp
Butter - 2 cubes
Mint leaves - 2-3
Saffron - 2 tbsp
Method
1. First wash the paneer and cut it into pieces.
2. Then add mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, red chilli powder, curd, garam masala, salt, and kasoori methi in a bowl and marinate it well.
3. Add chopped paneer to this mixture and keep it to marinate for 30 minutes.
4. After this, put water in a pan, add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, and soaked rice, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Heat oil in a pan and fry cumin, mace, cinnamon, and black cardamom.
6. After roasting the mixture add chopped onion and fry it.
7. When the onions are fried, add marinated paneer to it and fry for 3-4 minutes.
8. Then drain some water from the rice and divide the rice into two parts.
9. Add paneer after the layer of rice in the pan and then add the rest of the rice and mix the gravy.
10. After adding rice add mint leaves, butter, and saffron and cook for 15-20 minutes.
11. Switch off the gas after the specified time. Your delicious Paneer Tikka Biryani is ready. Serve for lunch or dinner.
