Mother Katyayani is worshiped on the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri, which starts on April 9. This time, the Katyayani form of Mother Adishakti is being worshiped on 14th April. There is importance of special worship of mother on this day. Also, on the sixth day, favorite and special food is offered to the mother. For example, on the fifth day, bananas or things made from it are offered to Mother Skandamata. Similarly, on the sixth day of Navratri, sweet betel leaves and honey are offered to Mother Katyayani.

Almond Pudding
Almond pudding can be prepared with honey. It does not require much material. Delicious almond halwa can be made with 250 grams of almonds, one spoon of honey, one cup of sugar and 1.25 cup of ghee.

Method
Step 1- To make almond halwa, boil the almonds lightly in hot water and peel them.
Step 2- After removing the peel, grind the almonds thoroughly in a mixer. Keep in mind that the almond paste should not be ground very finely.
Step 3- Heat ghee in a pan and add almond paste. Keep the gas flame medium.
Step 4- Then add sugar and honey and fry until the sugar mixes well with the halwa.
Step 5- When the color of the halwa starts turning golden and the aroma starts coming out, turn off the gas.
Almond pudding is ready.
