Recipe
To make Onion Paratha, first, take the onion and cut it into fine pieces. After this sift wheat flour in a big mixing bowl. Add a little salt and 1 tsp oil to it and mix well. Now add water little by little to the flour and knead it. Keep in mind that the dough should be smooth and soft. After this cover the dough with a cotton wet cloth and keep it aside for 20-25 minutes.
Now put some oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add finely chopped onion and fry it for 1 minute. After this add ginger-garlic paste, mix and fry. When the onion turns light pink, turn off the flame and add red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, dry mango powder, garam masala, celery, coriander leaves and salt as per taste to the onion and mix it well. Now the paratha mixture is ready.
Now take the dough and knead it once more. After this, make balls of equal proportion of the flour. Take a nonstick pan/griddle and heat it on medium heat. While the griddle is heating up, take one ball and roll it into a round shape. After this, take some onion stuffing and keep it in the middle and close it from all sides and make it round. Now press it a little and roll the paratha.
In the meantime, when the griddle gets hot, put some oil in it and spread it all around. Now put the rolled paratha in the pan and roast it. After some time, flip the paratha and roast it on the other side by applying oil. Flip the paratha and roast it till it turns golden brown and crisp from both sides. After this take out the paratha on a plate. Similarly, prepare all the stuffing parathas. Serve hot with flavourful onion paratha sauce or chutney.
