Sharadiya Navratri is now moving towards its end. In these nine days dedicated to Maa Durga, people worship the nine forms of Mata Rani. These days people not only worship Mata Rani but also observe fasts. After fasting for nine days, people worship the girl child and then break the fast.
It is believed that whoever worships the girl child with a true heart, Mata Rani blesses them. In such a situation, on this day people not only serve halwa, puri, and chana to the girls but also offer them to Maa Durga.
Many times it happens that the halwa does not turn out tasty if made in the wrong way. In such a situation, today we will not only teach you how to make halwa but will also tell you the right recipe for making chana and puri. So that you too can please Mata Rani.
Ingredients to make semolina pudding
Semolina: 1 cup
Ghee: 1/2 cup
Sugar: 2 cups
Water: 4 cups
Cardamom powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Cashews, almonds and raisins: 2-3 teaspoons (chopped)
Method
To make semolina pudding, first heat ghee in a pan and add semolina to it. Fry the semolina on low flame till it becomes light golden and aromatic. When the aroma starts coming from it, add water to it. After this, add sugar to it slowly and keep stirring continuously. After the water dries up, add cardamom powder and chopped nuts to it. Cover the pudding and cook for 2-3 minutes. Your pudding is ready.
Ingredients to prepare Kala Chana
Black gram (soaked): 1 cup
Ginger paste: 1 teaspoon
Green chili: 2-3 (finely chopped)
Tomato: 1 (chopped)
Cumin seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala: 1/2 teaspoon
Salt: according to taste
Oil: 2-3 teaspoons
Coriander leaves: for garnishing
Method
Black gram is made on Navami. In such a situation, soak the black gram overnight, then boil it in a pressure cooker with salt and water. After boiling the gram, heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it. Then add ginger paste and green chili and fry. After this add tomatoes and cook till soft.
Now add turmeric, red chili, and garam masala and fry the spices well. Mix the boiled chickpeas in the spices and cook for some time. Garnish with green coriander on top. Chana is ready.
Ingredients for making Puri
Wheat flour: 2 cups
Oil: 1 tsp (for kneading)
Oil for frying
Method
To make Puri, first mix 1 tsp oil in the flour. Add water little by little and knead a hard dough. After this, cover the dough and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes. Now make small balls of dough and roll them into small round puris with the help of a rolling pin. Heat oil in a pan and fry the puris till they become golden and fluffy. Puris are ready.
