Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana run by the Government of India, the Government of India provides financial assistance of Rs 5000 for the first child. Whereas, financial assistance of Rs 6000 is given for the second child. But if the second child is a girl, then only the benefit is given for the second time in the scheme. Money is given in two installments for the first child, in which Rs 3000 is given in the first installment and Rs 2000 in the second installment. Whereas, if the second child is a girl, then Rs 6000 is given in one instalment.
