On the lines of Ladli Behan Yojana in Madhya Pradesh, now the government in Maharashtra has also brought the Majhi Ladki Behan Yojana, under which the government gives Rs 1500 every month to the women. This amount is transferred directly to the accounts of the sisters. Let us tell you that while presenting the general budget, the Maharashtra government announced the Mukhyamantri Ladki Behan Yojana 2024. In this scheme, the government had announced to give Rs 1500 per month and 3 LPG gas cylinders free of cost to the women every year.
The government extended the last date.
Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said that the last date for application under Ladki Behan Yojana has been extended to 30 September. The minister said that given the tremendous response received to the scheme, the last date for eligible women has been extended to 30 September. Earlier the date to apply under this scheme was 31 July, but due to a large number of applications, the last date was extended to 31 August.
The government appealed to the sisters of Maharashtra.
CM Eknath Shinde had recently said that the sisters who have not yet applied for the scheme should apply for it so that Rs 4500 from the last three months can also be deposited in their accounts. At present the scheme is till March 2025 but Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that further provision will be made for the scheme in the budget.
