RBI has always said that whenever you transfer money to someone's bank account, before sending money, carefully read the details entered by the receiver such as bank account number, IFSC code, etc.

If you have transferred money to the wrong account then do these 3 things
1) The very first thing that you have to do is to visit your bank branch and give all the details of the incident to the manager like in which account you have transferred money by mistake etc. The reason behind doing this is that action can be taken in this matter as soon as possible.

2) If your account and the receiver's account are in the same bank, then in this case the bank contacts the receiver through call or email in this matter. If the approval is received then efforts can be made to get the money back. Let us tell you that if the receiver whose bank account has been transferred by mistake, if he agrees to pay the money, then in this case the bank will return the money to you within 7 days.

3) Now the question comes that if the receiver refuses to pay the money then what will happen? If the same question arises in your mind, then tell that in such a situation you can get your money legally by registering an FIR on the receiver.

Note: If you also want that the money sent to the wrong bank account should be returned to you soon, then one thing which you should always keep in mind is to inform your bank about it immediately.
