Cleansing is the secret to healthy skin. With the help of the right products, you can avoid oily skin by keeping your face clean. If your skin is oily, then after cleansing, astringent lotion and skin tonic should be used. Clean your face with the help of cotton.

Home remedies for acne

  • Cucumber has astringent effects. Apply cucumber juice on your face and wash your face with plain water after 15 minutes.
  • You can also use green tea on the face. Soak green tea leaves or tea bags in hot water for half an hour. Cool it, filter it and apply this liquid on the skin.
  • Sandalwood paste can be applied on pimples, acne and boils. If there are rashes, mix sandalwood paste with a little rose water and apply it all over the face. After 20 minutes wash it with plain water.
  • Boil neem leaves in enough water on a low flame. Cool it and filter it. Make a paste of neem leaves and apply it daily. Wash it off after 30 minutes. You can use Tulsi for acne. Tulsi has disinfectant and antiseptic properties.
  • Make a paste by mixing rose water in Multani mitti and apply it on the face. When it dries, clean the skin.
  • Mix one teaspoon of cinnamon powder, half a teaspoon of fenugreek seed powder, lemon juice and a few drops of honey. It should be a sticky paste. Apply it only on pimples, boils or acne and leave it for a few hours or overnight.

Keep these things in mind

  • The face should be cleansed at night as well. Clean off makeup, oil and dust dirt. There are many medicated soaps and cleansers available in the market to reduce the problem of acne.
  • If the skin is oily and prone to breakouts, you should not use oily creams and moisturisers.
  • If the skin feels dry after washing the face, then apply one spoon of pure glycerin mixed with 100 ml of rose water. Now keep the bottle in the fridge. Apply this lotion to get relief from dryness.
  • Take such a diet, which can remove the toxin from the body. Food should be rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals.
  • Include fresh fruits, raw salad, sprouted grains, whole grains, curd, fresh fruit juice, buttermilk and lassi in the diet.
  • Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily. Mix the juice of one lemon in a glass of water and drink it first thing in the morning.
