On the lines of instant blogging platform X, the facility to edit posts on Instagram threads is also going to come. The company may soon introduce post-edit features. Social media platforms may offer the option to edit a post within 5 minutes of publishing it.
Let us tell you that X allows editing of posts within an hour of posting, but this facility is available only to X Premium members. Which includes users with blue checkmarks. In contrast, Meta Threads can offer this edit post feature for free to all users.
This feature is currently in development mode and is revealed by the screenshot shared by developer Alessandro Paluzzi. He said that users will have a 5-minute window to edit their posts after making the post public. That means users will be able to make changes to the post within 5 minutes of posting. After this, the post will not be edited.
The feature may come soon
Although this feature is not currently available to users, but it can be launched in the future. Till now Meta has not officially announced this feature. But notably, Instagram head Adam Mosseri has previously mentioned that Meta is working on new features for threads, including the ability to edit posts. Now it remains to be seen when Meta actually plans to launch this new edit feature.
This facility will also be available
It is also reported that Meta is also working on allowing users to delete their Threads profile without affecting their Instagram account. According to Alessandro Paluzzi, after deleting a Threads profile, users will have to wait for 4 months (120 days) to create a Threads account with the same Instagram account.
