If you do not want to spend too much time in the kitchen on a holiday, but want to prepare and eat a healthy and tasty lunch, then beetroot rice is the perfect option.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups basmati rice parboiled,
  • 2 tbsp desi ghee,
  • salt to taste,
  • 1/2 beetroot cube chopped,
  • 2-3 green chilies,
  • The 1-inch long ginger piece,
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder,
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder,
  • pinch of garam masala,
  • 3-4 cloves,
  • 1 piece cinnamon,
  • bay leaf

  • process :
  • First of all, we will make rice. For this, heat water in a big vessel, and as soon as it becomes hot, put rice in it. Also clove, cinnamon, bay leaf, and 1/2 teaspoon salt and ghee.
  • As soon as the rice is cooked. Switch off the gas and leave it open for some time.
  • Make a paste by adding beetroot, green chili, and ginger to the mixie.
  • - Heat ghee in a pan. When hot, add cinnamon, cloves, and cumin and splutter.
  • After this, add its beetroot paste. After this, mix roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder, and garam masala in it. Cover and cook for five minutes.
  • Now in turn mix cooked rice in it. Along with this, add lemon juice to it.
  • Mix everything well and turn off the gas.
  • Beetroot rice is ready, which you can serve with Raita.
