You must have always seen on TV that celebrities participating in reality shows wear new outfits every day. But have you ever wondered where these nice outfits come from? Or what do celebrities do with them once they wear them? If you also want answers to these questions then read this story completely.

You must have heard that Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain took 200 outfits with them in Bigg Boss 17. Earlier, actress Palak Purswani was reported to have carried 150 outfits for 30 days in Bigg Boss OTT. Be it Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi, or other reality shows (like Roadies, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye, or India's Got Talent), there is a lot that goes into sourcing outfits for the celebs who are part of them.

What does sourcing outfits mean?

According to a news published in TOI, celebrities employ stylists, who order outfits for them from many designers. After wearing an outfit in an episode, the celebs have to return the clothes to the designer. Palak Purswani says that having a stylist on the show makes it very easy to collaborate with brands. This way actors can eliminate the need to deal directly with all the brands.

The ins and outs of sourcing

Aditi Patani, who styles TV celebs for shows like Entertainment Ki Raat, says designers give outfits and accessories to celebrities based on the vision of their brand. Celebrities are charged based on their look and show. Stylist Aisana Bhuta says that she often charges Rs 10 thousand for a look. She further says that depending on the profile and experience of the stylist, they charge between Rs 5 to Rs 25 thousand for each look. Stylish Saachi Vijayvargiya revealed that she had to find 500 looks for the Khatron Ke Khiladi contestants, which was not easy. She says that it was difficult to achieve 500 looks in one go. For shows like DancePlus and India's Got Talent, we get ample time to choose and style the contestants for every episode.
