Not only this, Khadi is such a fabric that people like to wear in any season because it is eco-friendly. Since it is made by hand, it is not considered appropriate to machine wash Khadi clothes. These fabrics are very delicate and hence should be hand washed. So, today in this article we are telling you how to clean Khadi clothes at home-

Do pre-treatment first

If there is a stain on your Khadi fabric, then you can use this pre-treatment method to remove the stain. For this, dissolve 1 teaspoon of mild detergent in a cup of water and mix it well. Now apply this solution to the stain and gently rub it with your fingers. You leave it like this for about 10-15 minutes and then wash it with cold water.

Soak clothes

Now add cold water and 1 teaspoon of mild cloth detergent in a bucket and mix it well. Now soak your Khadi clothes in it. You leave it soaked like this for 30 minutes.

Wash your clothes

Now it's time to wash the clothes. Since Khadi clothes are very delicate, it is considered best to wash them by hand. Washing khadi clothes in a machine tend to spoil them quickly.

Always use cold water to hand wash your Khadi clothes and never use a brush or any harsh ingredients on them. Keep in mind that hot water should never be used for cleaning Khadi clothes, as it can cause your clothes to shrink. Also, it can rough up your Khadi clothes.

Dry khadi clothes

Once the Khadi clothes are washed, squeeze out the excess water. Never dry Khadi clothes in the machine. Instead, let them dry naturally in the shade. Also, avoid using hot iron on Khadi clothes after drying them, as this can damage the Khadi. If you want, lay newspaper between the cloth and the iron and then press the clothes with a slightly hot iron.

So now you also adopt these tips and take better care of Khadi clothes. Also, keep in mind that you wash dark and light-coloured Khadi clothes separately so that their colour does not cross each other.
