To make Kathiawadi Khichdi, one bowl of rice, moong dal, onion, one teaspoon of grated ginger, four to five garlic cloves, one tablespoon of chopped green garlic, one chopped green chili, one tomato, one potato, half a bowl of peas, three One tablespoon finely chopped coriander, one teaspoon cumin, four tablespoon oil, salt as per taste, half teaspoon turmeric, one tablespoon red chili powder and half teaspoon garam masala are required.

To make Kathiawadi Khichdi, first clean the moong dal and rice. After that soak them in water. After that cut potatoes, onions, and tomatoes into small pieces and put the soaked rice and pulses in the cooker. Also, put other ingredients in the cooker. Now put four times the amount of water in the cooker than the pulses and rice in the cooker and let it cook till the whistle rings. After this, heat the oil in a pan. Add cumin, garlic, ginger, and asafoetida and roast it.

Fry all these spices well in oil. After cooking, add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, and garam masala and cook. Add water after it is cooked. After boiling well, let it cook for two to three minutes. After this add coriander leaves and serve with chutney and pickle.
