BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple

The name of the temple is BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, which was built about 90 km south of Times Square, New York. It is located about 289 km from Washington DC.

A traditional Indian stepwell is located in the Brahmakund of the temple, in which water from sacred rivers of 50 American states including India and water from more than 300 reservoirs from around the world has been poured.

The construction of this temple built on 185 acres started in the year 2011 and was completed in 12 years.
