Everyone must have eaten the upma of semolina. But few will accept the tide analogy, and some may be hearing it for the first time. In such a situation, if you have never eaten Jowar Upma, then we will introduce you to its benefits and method of preparation.

Jowar is a whole grain product that is rich in minerals, protein, fiber, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, iron, and B complex vitamins that have many health benefits. As a gluten-free diet, jowar also helps you lose weight. It also helps in maintaining blood sugar control.

One cup jowar flour, ½ cup finely chopped onions, ½ cup semolina, ½ cup cooked green beans, two tablespoons green chili paste, two tablespoons coriander leaves, and a pinch or two of asafoetida are the ingredients. Ingredients needed to make Jowar Upma. , one teaspoon of mustard seeds, one teaspoon urad dal, eight to ten chopped curry leaves, one lemon, one or two teaspoons butter and salt as per taste.

To make Jowar Upma, first finely chop the onion and curry leaves. Peas are also peeled and kept in a box. Now take a pan and heat the oil in it. Now add mustard seeds and urad dal and fry for some time. Add curry leaves and asafoetida and fry for a few seconds.

Now add onions to the pan and fry for about a minute. Now add semolina and fry it on medium flame. Add jowar flour and stir for two minutes. Then add green chili paste, peas, green coriander, and salt as per taste. Add water as required. And now cook on low flame for two to three minutes. Serve with lemon juice.
