Meta-owned photo-sharing app Instagram has given big good news to its users. Instagram users will no longer need to download the Instagram app to view reels. Now you will be able to watch the reel even without the app.

Instagram is testing this new feature. According to the report, this facility will be available to iOS i.e. iPhone users first. For your information, let us tell you that currently an app is required to view Instagram reels.

According to the report, Instagram is working on an app native interface that will work through App Clips. App Clip was added by Apple to its iPhone in the year 2021 with the iOS 14 update. App Clips are like the preview that appears before downloading an app. Let us remind you that Reel's competitor TikTok also offers the facility of App Clip.

This feature of Instagram Reels was first reported by 9to5Mac. The new feature has been seen in version 319.0.2 of the Instagram app which is a beta version. Its testing is being done on TestFlight.

If we understand the new feature with an example, if you send the link of a reel to any of your friends with an iPhone, then he will be able to watch it without opening the Instagram app. After the introduction of this feature, users will not need an Instagram account to view the reel.
