Indian Railways is operating thousands of trains across the country. Every day millions of passengers travel in these trains. Not only this, the huge network of Indian Railways is spread across the country, which works to connect the marginal areas of the country with large metros. While traveling in the train, passengers do not have to face any kind of problems, given this, Indian Railways has made many rules. However, you must have a ticket to travel on the train. At the same time, it is often seen that many times the passenger is left due to late. In such a situation, the question arises whether, in the event of missing the train, the passenger can travel in another train on that train ticket. What are the rules of Indian Railways regarding this? Let's know -

According to the rules of Indian Railways, if a passenger has taken a general ticket and due to late at the station, his train has been exempted. In this situation, he can travel in another train of the same category. At the same time, trains of other categories like Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, etc. cannot be traveled on general tickets.

Apart from this, if a person has a reservation ticket, then he cannot travel on a reservation ticket on any other train in case of a missing train.

If you travel on another train with a reservation ticket, then TTE considers your daughter to be caught. In this situation, TTE can charge a fine from you.

If you do not pay the fine, then in this situation legal action can be taken against you. Apart from this, you may also have a jail. If you have a reservation ticket and your train has been missed, then in this situation you should file TDR, stating the appropriate reason. After this, you have to take a ticket to travel on another train.
