Pumpkin raita with boondi and bottle gourd is also very popular. Rich in nutrients, raita helps in improving digestion. Besides, it is also helpful in balancing the body temperature. Even though children refuse to eat pumpkin curry, they like its raita very much. Being spicy, it is a good alternative to curd. Making it is also simple. Ingredients (Recipe)
Grated pumpkin – 2 cups
Curd – one and a half cup
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Green chilli chopped – 1-2
Green coriander leaves chopped – 2-3 tbsp
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Salt – as per taste

Recipe
- First of all, cut the pumpkin and after removing its thick outer peel, grate it.
- Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.


When the oil becomes hot, add grated pumpkin and a little salt to it and mix it with the help of a spoon.
- After this let the pumpkin cook for 3-4 minutes. During this, keep stirring the pumpkin from time to time with the help of a spoon.
- After the pumpkin is cooked, turn off the gas and take it out in a bowl.
- Now put curd in a big mixing bowl and churn it well with the help of a churner.
When the curd becomes smooth and thin, add red chili powder, cumin powder, finely chopped green chilies, green coriander, and salt and mix.
Now put the cooked pumpkin in the bowl and mix it with curd with the help of a spoon. Pumpkin raita is ready.
