On the 10th day, Ganpati immersion takes place on Anant Chaturdashi. Every year the risk of spreading pollution increases due to Ganpati immersion. For this, you can make an idol of Ganesha from cow dung. Ganesha idols can also be made by soaking clay or paper. Here is an easy way to make Ganesha idol at home.
Method of making Ganesha idol from clay
To make the idol of Lord Ganesha at home, first of all, bring yellow clay from the market. You can take clay from any clean place. Remove gravel, pebbles, stones, etc. from the clay and filter the clay with a cloth.
When the clay becomes very fine and soft, add cow dung to it. This will keep the idol pure and it will be made easily. If you want, you can also add desi ghee and honey to it.
Now mix water in the clay and knead it like flour. Knead the clay a little soft, so that there are no cracking marks.
To make the Ganesha idol, make many balls of soaked clay. Prepare the seat of the Lord from one ball. Then give an oval shape to two balls and join one on top of the other so that the feet of Lord Ganesha are ready. Make the toes with the help of thin wood.
Now make the stomach of the Lord from a big ball. On top of which place a small oval ball and prepare the face. In this, spread a small clay in a long curved shape give it the shape of a trunk, and stick it on the face.
Make big ears by taking two small clay balls. Give shape to all the balls and join them at the right place. Let the idol dry properly. If you want, you can paint the idol with watercolor. The idol is ready. Decorate it with beautiful clothes and a garland of flowers.
