Ingredients needed to make Fafda:

1. Gram flour - 250 grams (2 cups)

2. Baking soda - 1/2 tsp

3. Carom seeds - 1/2 tsp

4. Oil - 4 to 5 tbsp

5. Red chili - less than 1/4 tsp

6. Salt - as per taste (Half a teaspoon)

7. Oil - for frying the fafda

1. To make Gujarati Fafda, first sift the gram flour in a bowl.

2. After this, add salt, baking soda, red chili powder, carom seeds, and some oil and mix it well.

3. After kneading the mixture, prepare a soft dough with the help of water. After this, cover the dough and keep it set for about 20 minutes.

4. After 20 minutes, knead the dough again, then break it into small balls. Keep the size of the balls equal to that of a plum.

5. After this, make the ball long and prepare it in the shape of Fafda.

6. Now place the dough on a wooden wheel and roll it into a long lung shape.

7. Make it long with the help of your hands. Similarly, make puffs of all the balls and take them out on a plate.

8. Now after preparing the fafda by rolling it, put the pan on the gas and heat it by adding oil.

9. After this, when the oil is hot, put the puffed rice in it. 10. Now roast it by pressing it with a ladle. When the fafda becomes crispy, take them out on tissue paper.

11. After this, bake all the puffed rice like this.

12. Now you can store it in an airtight container.

13. Now eat it with tea or taste it with chutney and you will enjoy it.
