Eating curd at night can increase lethargy in the body, this happens due to the formation of mucus. According to Ayurveda, the sweet and astringent properties of curd produce mucus, which causes breathing problems, nasal congestion, arthritis, and inflammation. Curd should always be taken with sugar, honey, jaggery, or spices like salt, black pepper, and cumin powder. The effectiveness of curd increases and the production of mucus decreases.
