Google has brought a new feature to its Waze app, which will now inform users about dangerous roads nearby based on traffic data. With this feature, a lot of trouble will go away from the users while driving.
Testing of this feature is currently going on, due to which it has become available only for beta users. But it will soon be made available to all users.
According to media reports, this new feature will show those dangerous roads in red color on the map. However, it may not be about the roads on which users travel frequently.
In countries where the beta version of Google's Waze app is available, beta users will get a pop-up in the app telling them that users can see alerts for the history of accidents by drivers and their route reports.
Google Maps shows air quality
In June this year, Google announced the addition of a new feature called Air Quality Layer in its popular app Google Maps. Through this feature, users will be able to find out the purity of the air. This feature has become available for all android and ios users in the US. The new feature will update users on what they should expect from the weather as per the wind conditions. Whether the weather is good or foggy bad, all types of conditions will be known.
It has been said in the report that it will guide the users in outdoor activities. Along with this, users will also be able to see the Air Quality Index (AQI) number. The Google Maps app will provide air quality information through PurpleAir. PurpleAir is a low-cost sensor network.
Earlier this feature was available only for pixel smartphones and nest users, but this year it has become available for android and ios users as well. To activate the Air Quality feature on Google Maps, you have to tap on the layer setting.
In this layer setting, you get all the options named Traffic, Public transit, and 3D Street View. Now here you will also see the feature of Air Quality. Touching on this option will enable your Air Quality Index. Then you have to touch on the AQI bubble after which you will know about the air quality of your city.
