Necessary materials for cleaning
If you want to clean brass idols, then you do not need to collect many things for this, but only 2 household ingredients are enough. You will use salt and white vinegar. First of all, put a few drops of white vinegar on the brass idol and then scrub it by rubbing it with white salt. Now clean the idol with the help of hot water or by immersing it in it. This will make the old dirt disappear.
Use brass polish
Some people do not clean brass idols for years due to which they become discolored. For this, use a special kind of polish which is usually called brass polish. When you use the powder as per the instructions written on the wrapper. After washing the idol, apply brass polish on it and then clean it with the mixture of hot water and liquid soap with the help of soft clothes until the idol regains its shine like new.
Get help with household items
If you do not want to use brass polish then you can use household items for this. Prepare the polish with the help of lemon and baking soda. Mix it until the paste becomes thick. Now apply the paste on the brass idol with the help of a soft cloth. Now wash the idols once again with hot water and let them dry. Repeat this process if necessary.
