Meta-owned social media platform Instagram is working on a big feature to prevent nudity. According to the report, Instagram is working on a feature after which nudity pictures sent in direct messages will be automatically blurred.

Instagram has given this information in one of its blogs. This is a new step by the company towards stopping sexual scams and image abuse. According to the company, this will make it difficult to target children. Apart from this, sexual extortion and sextortion will be curbed.

Scammers usually threaten and blackmail people by sharing their nude photos on social media. Scammers also ask for money by threatening to make the photo viral. Recently two brothers from Nigeria have been arrested in this case. The two brothers first blackmailed and then kidnapped a 15-year-old girl.

There is constant pressure being put on Instagram and other social media platforms to stop this. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has apologized several times for sextortion on Facebook and Instagram. Earlier this year also he apologized.
