The threat of Covid-19 has been visible for more than four years. In the case of infection with Coronavirus, not only is there a risk of developing serious diseases, but also many types of health problems due to Long Covid in people who have recovered from the infection have also been a cause of great concern.

In many studies after the pandemic, it has been said that people who have been victims of Covid-19 may be at risk of heart disease and its serious forms. In some reports, COVID-19 vaccines were also said to increase heart diseases, on which ICMR has shared clear information today.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has completely rejected all those reports in which fears have been raised about the risk of heart disease due to vaccination. The Health Minister said the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has conducted a detailed study which shows that there is no link with the Covid-19 vaccine causing heart attacks. The vaccine neither increases the risk of heart disease nor does it cause heart attacks. Don't believe such things.

What does the Health Minister say?
In a program of news agency NI, the Health Minister said, the increasing cases of heart attacks across the world is worrying. Doctors say that a person's unhealthy lifestyle and habits like alcohol and smoking can be factors in this risk. There is no evidence that the vaccine increases the risk of heart attack.

Responding to a question, the Union Health Minister said that efforts are being made to create misconceptions about Covid-19 vaccines. If someone has a stroke today, some people think it is because of the COVID-19 vaccine. ICMR has conducted a detailed study on this, in which it has been found that the vaccine has not seen any negative effect on heart health.

Due to a heart attack
The Health Minister said, there are many reasons for heart attack, among which bad lifestyle, excessive consumption of tobacco, and excessive alcohol have been the main ones. Many times, wrong information spreads among people and becomes a belief for some time, however, it is important to know its scientific proofs and evidence.

A peer-reviewed ICMR study published in November last year found that the risk of heart attack did not increase in people who had been vaccinated. People who have been victims of heart attacks have a history of hospitalization due to infection or the sudden death of someone in the family.

What did the study find?
Studies were conducted to know the effects of the vaccine in more than 47 hospitals in the country. It studied data from healthy individuals aged 18-45 years without any comorbidities who died suddenly due to unexplained causes between October 2021 and March 2023. In most cases, family history of sudden death, smoking, drug use, alcohol or excessive smoking, and high-intensity physical activity two days before death were found to be the main causes. The risk of heart attack has been seen to be higher in people who frequently drink alcohol.

Heart attack cases increased after Corona
It is noteworthy that since the Corona epidemic, the cases of heart attack have increased significantly across the world including India. In some reports, it was feared that there could be such a risk due to the COVID-19 vaccine, about which the Health Minister has given clear information. He said, PM Modi also falls in the age category of 60 years and has taken three doses of the vaccine.

Covid vaccines are safe and can help protect against the risk of serious diseases in case of infection.
