Cancer is a large group of diseases that occurs when abnormal cells start dividing rapidly and can spread to other tissues and organs. These rapidly growing cells can cause tumors. They also obstruct the normal function of the body. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer was the cause of 1 out of 6 deaths in the year 2020. Experts are working hard to test new cancer treatments every day, but a definitive cure has yet to be found.

Why does cancer happen?
The main cause of cancer is a mutation of your cells or changes in their DNA. Your genetic mutations can be inherited. These can also be due to environmental forces after birth. Now it is difficult to avoid genetic reasons, but some external reasons can be avoided.
The external causes of cancer are called Carcinogens, which are as follows:-

1. Physical carcinogens like radiation and ultraviolet light
2. Chemical carcinogens such as cigarette smoke, alcohol, asbestos dust, alcohol, air pollution, and contaminated food and drinking water
3. Biological carcinogens such as viruses, bacteria, and parasites.

Cancer is a deadly disease
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 33 percent of cancer deaths can be attributed to tobacco, alcohol, high body mass index (BMI), low fruit and vegetable intake, and not getting enough physical activity.
