Ingredients: For the Kathal Patty:

1 small raw jackfruit (kathal), deseeded and cut into small pieces

1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Salt to taste

1/4 cup besan (gram flour)

Oil for frying

For the Burger Assembly:

Burger buns

Lettuce leaves

Sliced tomatoes

Sliced onions

Sliced cucumbers

Mayonnaise

Tomato ketchup

Instructions:

Boil the raw jackfruit pieces in salted water until tender. Drain and allow them to cool.

Once cooled, shred the jackfruit using a fork or your hands to achieve a pulled meat-like texture.

In a bowl, combine the shredded jackfruit, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the jackfruit evenly with the spices.

Add besan (gram flour) to the mixture and mix until it forms a thick and sticky mixture.

Shape the mixture into patties of desired size and thickness.

Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the pan and fry them on medium heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Remove from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Toast the burger buns lightly on a griddle or in a toaster.

To assemble the burger, spread mayonnaise and tomato ketchup on the bottom half of the bun. Layer it with lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers.

Place the crispy kathal patty on top of the vegetables and cover it with the other half of the bun.

Serve the kathal ka crispy burger with some additional ketchup or chutney of your choice.
